The product started as an internal dashboard at a company drowning in spreadsheets. It escaped.
Why we exist
In 2021 the four of us worked on a product team that made decisions by whomever argued loudest in a meeting. The data existed - it always exists - but getting an answer took a data request, a two-day wait, and a chart nobody trusted by the time it arrived.
Northlight Analytics is the tool we wanted then: questions answered in seconds, numbers everyone can check, and no waiting on anyone.
How we work
- Warehouse-first. Your data stays where it lives. We read it, we do not copy it, and we never hold it hostage.
- Opinionated on purpose. Fewer charts, better defaults. If a feature needs a manual, we usually just remove the feature.
- Small surface, fast product. We ship weekly and tell you exactly what changed, in plain language.
What we will not do
We will not sell your data, wrap core metrics in a higher tier, or publish a pricing page that requires a sales call to decode. The free plan is genuinely usable, because we remember being on the other side of that.
